The New York Islanders High School Hockey League is proud to announce that we will hold our first-ever College Combine and Fair hosted by the New York Islanders at Northwell Health Ice Arena on Saturday March 21st beginning at 10:15am.

This program was developed in conjunction with the New York Islanders, NHL's Washington Capitals, who have hosted a similar program for many years and the ACHA, the American Collegiate Hockey Association and will feature coaches and admissions reps from their member colleges. 

The programs objectives are to provide High School aged players (those attending 10th and 11th grades) and ability showcase their on-ice talents and while attending different programs to learn about the mechanics and opportunities available in college hockey for students. The program will feature the following:

On and Off Ice Testing  - Generation Next Athlete an respected testing and evaluation company will be running the drills and skills portion of the program in addition to an off-ice testing program for which every player will receive an evaluated score from.  The specifics of this program will be announced at a later date. 

Info Panel for Students, Parents and Guardians - Parents/guardians, are you curious about financial aid? Admissions processes? We have answers! Join us for a 45-minute information session during player combine testing and ask any questions you may have regarding your child's interest in playing college hockey.

College Hockey Fair - Student-athletes and their families will have an opportunity to meet with various school and team representatives from several ACHA programs and learn more about the opportunities to play collegiate hockey. Colleges will have tables set up at Northwell Health Ice Arena, and players can sign up to receive more information from various programs.

There will be more to announce in the future about registering for attendance. Players in the New York Islanders High School League will be asked to pay a subsidized $25 fee to register. The registration will include some swag and gear.
